Why do we need to identify our trauma triggers?
Identifying and understanding trauma triggers can create a sense of safety, control and increase emotional functioning. Trauma triggers are NOT the same as your typical emotional triggers and can limit your healing if you’re not aware of them. Exploring trauma triggers with trauma-informed practices can increase emotional regulation and tolerance for dealing with painful and difficult experiences and emotions. It also provides an opportunity to “pre-plan” therapeutic responses rather than simply reacting.

In this 90 minute intensive, we will cover:
The difference between your trauma triggers and healthy emotional triggers.
Identifying activation responses (your trauma triggers!) + what you can do to manage them.
Resources to increase your internal capacity to tolerate painful emotional states when you’re triggered.

Self-regulation skills
